I am happy to share that one of the newly elected CWNA board members is a #BeautifySJ Hero. She will be recognized for her efforts in mobilizing volunteers from both the CWNA community and St. Lucy Church to pick up litter in the Cadillac/Winchester area and will be interviewed for the #BeautifySJ website.
I would like to update you on the following progress the Project Hope area has made. On June 8th, the Cadillac Winchester community voted in its’ first Executive Board and had over 30 community members in attendance. This was the largest attended meeting we have had since the Cadillac Winchester Neighborhood Association (CWNA) began in April 2017. The CWNA will be hosting their next general business meeting in July and has asked DOT to be its special guest. The Board, along with residents, have asked for a presentation on the Pilot Residential Parking Permit Program that will be taking place soon. The community is in support of the Pilot Residential Parking Permit Program and would like to know how to obtain permits and learn the projected time for signs to go up and enforcement to begin. I am also excited to announce that CWNA will be hosting its first National Night Out event (location and time have yet to be determined). The CWNA Executive Board are also considering a Dumpster Day as well as a SJPD/Community Meet-and-Greet. Keep a look out for dates and times.
