As we enter the winter months District 1 parks will continue to receive improvements and routine maintenance. Several of our parks are in need of special attention and the Parks Department is working diligently to address concerns that were reported to my office.
Gullo Park is one of our district parks currently in the process of being renovated. When completed, the project will replace a much needed faulty irrigation system, add new concrete benches and concrete pads, remove 8 dead trees and replace those with 15 new trees, as well as, construct a new 6-foot fence that will separate the park from the adjacent 7/11 property. The renovation will also include a new wood sign on Williams Drive (facing the street). The project should be completed before the Thanksgiving Holiday.
